Frequently Asked Questions

What are permanent cosmetics?

Permanent make-up is the art of enhancing ones own natural features by implanting colored pigment just below the surface of the skin, also known as micropigmentation. Beautiful women have enlisted this ancient art of permanently applying cosmetics for 4,000 years.

Why permanent cosmetics?

In our tropical Florida climate, permanent cosmetics are the perfect solution for looking your very best anywhere, anytime. Permanent make-up does not smudge, run, or wear off which gives you the freedom to enjoy the beach, tennis courts, or golf course come rain, shine or humidity and still look your best.

Is it painful?

Highly efficient topical anesthetics are used throughout the procedure. The majority of clients are pleasantly surprised at how painless it is.

Who benefits from permanent cosmetics?

  • Women who have difficulty applying traditional make-up due to arthritis, poor eyesight or limited motor skills.
  • Women who suffer from facial hair loss due to aging, medical treatments or Alopecia.
  • Women with irritated eyes due to allergies or contacts.
  • Athletic women who cannot maintain traditional make-up due to perspiration or aquatic activities.
  • Women too busy with careers and families who do not have the time to apply traditional make-up.

How long does it last?

Permanent cosmetic color should be refreshed every one to five years. This varies with the color of the original pigment and can be different for each individual.

Is it safe?

All procedures are performed by using the manual method of gently tapping pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Since the SofTap® system is 100% disposable, there is no risk of infection from improperly sterilized equipment.

How long does it take?

Initial consultations are required prior to all procedures to establish clients' preferences and to evaluate medical history and skin complexion.

Most procedures take one to two hours and include a review of post-care instructions. It is wise to .allow extra time for all procedures.
